Two Years In: What We’ve Built and What’s Ahead

By Tiffany Legington Graham, CFRE
Founder & CEO, Mission360 Strategies

Two years ago, on October 15, 2024, Mission360 Strategies officially came to life.

The vision was deeply personal—and rooted in a career that has never followed a particularly straight line. My educational foundation is in industrial and systems engineering, followed by management consulting in the retail and consumer products sector, and then 16 years immersed in nonprofit leadership, fundraising and philanthropy.

Along the way, I discovered that my “special sauce” was bringing those worlds together: analytical thinking and business rigor, a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector, and an instinct for seeing how all the pieces of an organization connect.

I wanted Mission360 to bring that perspective to organizations doing important work—and to advance a more inclusive approach to philanthropy.

For me, inclusive philanthropy means expanding who is invited into generosity and who has access to philanthropic investment. It means helping nonprofits see the enormous opportunity to build donor communities that are broader, more representative and reflective of the communities they serve. And it means ensuring that organizations led by and serving historically underinvested communities have access to the strategy, counsel, relationships and capacity-building resources that can help them grow and thrive.

What I could not have fully imagined was how much and how quickly Mission360 Strategies would grow. At some point, I realized I wasn’t simply driving the firm’s growth anymore—I was working hard to keep pace with the momentum it had created. New clients, new opportunities, new ideas and bigger possibilities kept showing up, often faster than I could have anticipated!

We have had the privilege of helping extraordinary organizations envision transformational capital campaigns, strengthen boards and development operations; identify new donors, partners and revenue opportunities; build major gift and corporate strategies; create memorable fundraising experiences; and, increasingly, wrestle with a much bigger question: What could this organization become?

And along the way, I’ve learned just as much as we’ve accomplished.

I’ve learned that the relationships and network built over a career can become the foundation beneath an entirely new chapter. I’ve learned that client trust is everything—because when clients invite us into the real conversations, allow us to challenge their thinking and trust us enough to try something new, we can move mountains together. I’ve learned that sometimes the most valuable thing a consultant can bring into a room is the courage to ask the question no one else is asking.

And I’ve learned that it takes exceptional people to build something exceptional. I am tremendously grateful for Kathleen Vincent, Client Success Manger; Kris Cole, Senior Consultant; Jay Perdue, Strategic Communications Consultant; and our consulting partners Andrew Mathewes and Zoe Dominguez. Their talent, perspective, care and willingness to follow me down lots of “what if” rabbit holes have helped make Mission360 what it is today.

As we enter Year Three, we are thinking even bigger: serving more organizations, developing stronger consulting practices, deepening our expertise, diversifying our services, and embracing technology-enabled strategies and new ways of working to help nonprofits build capacity, cultivate relationships and accelerate impact.

There is still so much to build, learn and imagine—and we’re just getting started.

I’d love for you to come along for the journey. If you’re not already part of the Mission360 community, sign up for our newsletter and follow us on LinkedIn to stay connected. We want to hear from you. There are exciting things ahead in Year Three—and I have a feeling you’re going to want to see what comes next!
